We are seeking a skilled, organised, and proactive professional to take on the key role of Senior Science Technician.

 

This is a rewarding and responsible position within our Science department, supporting high-quality teaching and learning across all key stages. The successful candidate will work closely with the Faculty Leader of Science and teaching staff to ensure the smooth, safe, and efficient operation of laboratories and preparation areas.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the day-to-day technical support for the Science department

  • Prepare, set up, and clear away equipment and materials for practical lessons

  • Ensure all practical work is carried out in line with health and safety regulations

  • Provide guidance and support to other technicians where applicable

  • Ensure laboratories and preparation areas are organised, safe, and well-maintained

 

We are looking for someone who

  • Has strong practical laboratory skills and sound scientific knowledge

  • Demonstrates a thorough understanding of health and safety regulations within a school laboratory setting

  • Is highly organised, methodical, and able to prioritise workload effectively

  • Can work independently and use initiative, while contributing positively to a team

  • Communicates clearly and professionally with staff and students

Compensation

€35,000 - €50,000 (Pre-Tax)
