We are currently in search of a passionate and dedicated Drama teacher to become a part of our distinguished secondary department.

The successful candidate will teach students across various ages and abilities, focusing on the GCSE and A-Level levels, and must demonstrate a proven history of delivering outstanding results.

This role is part of our strategic growth to meet increasing student enrollment and the rising demand for our programs.

General Professional Responsibilities

The responsibilities of a teacher include the following professional duties:


Delivering engaging lessons, which involves planning and preparing courses, assigning and grading student work, and assessing and reporting on student progress and achievements in line with school policies.


Leveraging data to enhance classroom instruction, tracking student progress, and implementing timely interventions as required.


Preparing students for public examinations, evaluating their performance for these assessments, documenting outcomes, and attending relevant meetings regarding the administration of public examinations.


Engaging with parents through communication and consultation, including writing reports.


Participating in Parents’ Evenings and Open Evenings.


Maintaining discipline and order within the classroom environment.


Attending departmental meetings and Open Evenings.


Collaborating with colleagues to develop departmental policies and practices, introduce curricular initiatives, and enhance teaching and assessment strategies.


Assisting with administrative and organizational tasks to ensure the efficient operation of the department.


Staying informed about curriculum developments, engaging in Continuing Professional Development (CPD), and contributing to personal professional growth.


Working in collaboration with support teachers in the classroom.


Taking on the role of mentor for a beginning teacher, if applicable.


Preparing assignments for classes when absences are anticipated and providing work for absent colleagues as necessary.


Overseeing a specific area of the curriculum, administration, innovation, or project.


Completing additional duties as reasonably assigned by the Head of Department.


Familiarizing oneself with the DSIB inspection framework and the expectations for exemplary teaching and learning in the UAE.


Supporting UAE initiatives and cultural norms.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for a successful candidate who:


Possesses relevant qualifications.


Has experience teaching in British Curriculum schools, specifically in IGCSE and A-Level.


Is passionate about Drama and capable of inspiring students with that enthusiasm.


Understands assessment and examination requirements for KS3, KS4, and KS5.


Exhibits exceptional teaching skills and a demonstrated record of student progress.


Works effectively as part of a team.


Keeps up-to-date with advancements in their subject area.


Shows a commitment to professional development, actively seeking training opportunities both within and outside the department to advance their career.
