About This Role

Due to an increase in student enrollment, Al Rabeeh Academy is on the lookout for a passionate, flexible, and dedicated Secondary Maths Lead Teacher (Suitable for ECT Teachers) to start immediately.

Al Rabeeh Academy, a stunning, purpose-built institution, was established in August 2017 and is part of a growing network of schools. The Al Rabeeh name has represented high-quality education and exceptional pastoral care in the city since 1979. Our school is affiliated with British Schools in the Middle East (BSME), offering fantastic opportunities for inter-school competitions, tournaments, and continuous professional development.

As a bilingual private school catering to students from FS1 to Year 13, Al Rabeeh Academy delivers the English National Curriculum alongside Arabic. We are seeking candidates who are committed team players, full of energy and enthusiasm to contribute to the development of Al Rabeeh Academy, with potential for internal advancement as the academy expands.

Candidates must understand the ethos and values of Al Rabeeh Academy, which serves a significant population of Arabic-speaking students. The ideal applicant will be a strong communicator, adept at fostering open dialogue with students, colleagues, and parents. Leading by example, applicants should be actively involved in the Academy’s extracurricular activities.

Fluency in English is required, along with a relevant degree and teaching qualification, and at least two years of experience teaching in schools that adhere to the National Curriculum of England.

Applicants must be able to demonstrate:

• Professional leadership and management of the English curriculum area, in line with national standards and school policies.
• The ability to ensure the delivery of an appropriate curriculum for our students while adhering to the school's aims and curriculum policies.
• The capability to inspire colleagues with a vision and commitment to values, promoting high-quality teaching, effective resource management, and elevated learning standards for all students.
• Execution of standard teacher responsibilities through a suitable teaching program.
• Support for the professional development of fellow educators and enhancement of overall teaching methodologies.
• Oversight of student progress and development in Maths, also serving as a form tutor.
• Promotion of Maths outside regular school hours and an excellent grasp of the national curriculum.
• Strong classroom management skills, expertise in Maths, and proficiency in teaching across KS3 and KS4, with an emphasis on 21st-century learning, IT integration, and support for EAL students.
• Experience in teaching ‘A’ levels.
• The ability to encourage creative learning and focus on developing 21st-century learning environments and innovation skills.
• Confidence in utilizing IT to enhance and extend students' learning experiences.
• Experience with data from internal and standardised assessments and external evaluations to monitor student progress.
• Essential experience in teaching EAL students.
