About This Role

Garden International School in Bangkok is seeking a Secondary English Teacher to commence in August 2026. We are looking for a dynamic, creative, and dedicated educator with experience in teaching English from Key Stage 3 to 5. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a thriving and esteemed institution.

At Garden International School, we deliver high-quality international education based on the British system, all within a supportive, family-oriented environment. Located in the Sathorn district, near Lumpini Park in central Bangkok, our school features a diverse student population representing over 40 nationalities, which enhances the educational experience through a rich tapestry of cultures, religions, and backgrounds. We are accredited by Edu Development Trust and have received the International Schools Quality Mark. Furthermore, we are recognized by Cambridge International Education and the Thai Ministry of Education (ONESQA), and we are affiliated with the International Schools Association of Thailand (ISAT) and the Federation of British International Schools in Asia (FOBISIA).

Our school caters to approximately 435 coeducational students from Pre-Nursery to Year 13, fostering a vibrant community. With typically small class sizes, students benefit from being well-behaved, engaged, and supported by their families.

The excellent examination results achieved by our students are a reflection of the high-quality teaching and learning at Garden. Each year, students take IGCSEs in Year 11, AS Levels in Year 12, and A-Levels in Year 13.

Bangkok is a vibrant and modern capital city, offering all the amenities of an international metropolis while retaining historical areas that allow residents to explore Thailand's rich heritage. The country offers numerous cultural experiences, boasts a pleasant year-round climate, and is considered a safe destination for expatriate employment. The cost of living is quite affordable, allowing teachers to enjoy high-quality holidays throughout the region.

The health, safety, and well-being of every student at Garden International School are the foremost priorities of all staff members.

  • Our students deserve protection.
  • Our students are entitled to safety within our school.
  • Our students have the right to be respected and heard.

Teachers from the UK must provide an International Child Protection Certificate (UK). Additionally, all candidates with prior work experience outside of the United Kingdom must submit a full police clearance covering at least the last 10 years.

Garden International School offers:

  • A competitive salary
  • Health and accident insurance
  • An expected annual performance-related bonus of up to one month’s salary
  • Baggage allowance (for Overseas Hire Contracts)
  • Flights from London (for Overseas Hire Contracts) at the beginning and end of the two-year contract. Flights are also provided for a legal spouse and up to two dependent children.
