Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Secondary English department to ensure high standards in teaching and student learning outcomes.
- Develop curriculum plans that adhere to international benchmarks and cater to the varied needs of our student body.
- Offer guidance and mentorship to department teachers to promote their professional growth.
- Monitor student performance and implement strategies to improve academic results.
- Collaborate with school leadership on strategic initiatives concerning the English curriculum.
- Foster a positive educational environment that encourages creativity, critical thinking, and academic success.
Skills and Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in English or Education (a Master’s degree is advantageous).
- A minimum of 5 years of teaching experience in secondary education, demonstrating leadership capabilities.
- Comprehensive understanding of international curricula relevant to secondary English education.
- Outstanding communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to inspire both staff and students towards achieving academic excellence.
- Proficient in utilizing technology to enhance the educational experience.
