Basic Requirements for Candidates
- A bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (graduate degree preferred).
- Candidates must qualify for British Columbia teacher certification.
- A minimum of two years of teaching experience in Canadian schools, North American curricula, or international schools is preferred.
- A professional approach to teaching that aligns with MIC’s mission and values, including a commitment to teamwork, perseverance, and accountability.
- Experience working with motivated and engaged secondary students is preferred.
- A proven commitment to continuous professional development and willingness to participate in school-based in-service training.
Employment Benefits for a 2-year Contract Period
C&B Package: In line with the B.C. salary grid based on relevant teaching experience with adolescents, the pre-tax monthly salary ranges from CAD 4335 to CAD 6670.
Welfare Package:
- Flight allowance:
- Option 1: CAD 1800 per academic year for flight expenses.
- Option 2: Reimbursement for one round trip (at the beginning and end of the contract) between the home country and China; one CAD 1800 flight allowance.
