About This Role

We are seeking to hire a Primary Music Specialist Teacher to join the British International School Hanoi, part of the Nord Anglia Education network.

THE ROLE

We are on the lookout for a dedicated and enthusiastic Primary Music Specialist to become part of our supportive and dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be an innovative educator with a solid background in music and performing arts, dedicated to fostering student success and their own professional development. You should possess at least three years of experience, working with students from Early Years to Year 8, implementing the Juilliard Curriculum while crafting engaging and inclusive learning experiences.

In this position, you will:

  • Provide exceptional music education, ensuring each student is appropriately challenged and supported to excel.
  • Employ effective classroom management techniques to nurture a positive and productive learning atmosphere.
  • Tailor your teaching to accommodate the diverse needs of students, including EAL learners, and offer targeted interventions when necessary.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers and school leaders to enhance student progress, participating in school-wide music productions and events.
  • Utilize assessment data to monitor student progress, provide constructive feedback, and assist students in understanding their educational path.
  • Actively engage in Continuous Professional Development (CPD), including Juilliard visits, and contribute to the flourishing performing arts program.
