THE ROLE

We are in search of a dedicated and passionate Primary Music Specialist to join our enthusiastic and supportive team. The ideal candidate will be an innovative educator with a robust background in music and performing arts, deeply committed to both student achievement and their own professional development. You should have at least three years of experience and will be responsible for teaching students from Early Years through Year 8, implementing the Juilliard Curriculum and crafting engaging, inclusive, and inspiring educational experiences.

In this position, you will:

  • Provide exceptional music education, ensuring all students are appropriately challenged and supported to reach their potential.
  • Employ effective classroom management techniques to create a positive and productive learning atmosphere.
  • Tailor your teaching methods to accommodate the diverse needs of students, including EAL learners, and offer targeted interventions as necessary.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers and school leaders to facilitate student progress, including participation in school-wide music productions and events.
  • Utilize assessment data to monitor student progress, deliver constructive feedback, and guide students in understanding their learning journey.
  • Actively engage in continuous professional development, including visits to Juilliard, while contributing to a dynamic performing arts program.
