KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Deliver engaging and effective English instruction for primary students, following international best practices.
- Create and implement captivating lessons that cater to diverse learning styles, using modern teaching strategies and technologies.
- Evaluate student progress through both formative and summative assessments to maintain high academic standards.
- Provide pastoral care to support student well-being, collaborating with the school’s well-being team.
- Encourage student involvement in extracurricular activities, literacy initiatives, and enrichment programs.
- Contribute to the development of the curriculum and school improvement projects.
- Cultivate a positive classroom environment with high expectations for behavior and discipline.
- Work collaboratively with fellow educators to exchange effective teaching strategies and support professional development goals.
- Maintain regular communication with parents and stakeholders about student progress.
- Stay informed about educational trends and engage in continuous professional development.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
- A relevant degree in Education, English, or a related field, along with a valid teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching English at the primary level, preferably in an international or bilingual setting.
- The ability to inspire and engage young learners, fostering a love for reading, writing, and communication.
- Strong skills in tailoring instruction to meet the needs of a diverse range of learners.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
- Experience utilizing technology and innovative teaching practices to enhance the educational experience.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development.
- A thorough understanding of safeguarding and student welfare practices.
