About This Role
Position Overview
SNA Marianapolis International School – Bien Hoa Campus is seeking a passionate, student-centered, and committed Physical Education Teacher to join our academic team. The perfect candidate will develop and deliver an exceptional physical education program that aligns with the American curriculum and Advanced Placement (AP) philosophy, promoting students’ physical health, teamwork, and lifelong fitness habits.
This role involves teaching across various grade levels (Elementary, Middle, and High School) and contributing significantly to the school’s overall educational mission.
Key Responsibilities
Teaching & Learning
- Create and implement dynamic Physical Education lessons that meet American curriculum standards.
- Foster students' physical literacy, motor skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
- Utilize differentiated instruction techniques to address the diverse needs of students.
- Promote healthy living, fitness awareness, and the overall well-being of students.
- Use assessment strategies to monitor and report on student progress.
Curriculum & Program Development
- Support the development of a comprehensive PE curriculum for all grade levels.
- Encourage interdisciplinary learning and contribute to school-wide wellness initiatives.
- Organize sports activities, competitions, and athletic programs within the school.
Student Engagement & Safeguarding
- Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
- Maintain effective management in both classroom and outdoor settings.
- Follow school safeguarding and health & safety guidelines.
Professional Collaboration
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and student support.
- Participate in professional development and engage in school activities.
- Communicate effectively with parents and other stakeholders.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education & Certification
- A Bachelor's degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or a related discipline (Master’s degree preferred).
- A valid teaching license/certification (from the US, UK, Canada, Australia, or an equivalent is preferred).
Experience
- A minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in an international or bilingual school setting is preferred.
- Experience in multi-age instruction (from elementary to high school) is a plus.
- Familiarity with the American curriculum/AP philosophy is highly desirable.
Skills & Competencies
- Skilled in managing classrooms and sports fields effectively.
- Ability to motivate and engage students from diverse backgrounds.
- Commitment to student well-being and holistic education.
- Excellent communication and collaborative abilities.
- Fluency in English.
