St. George’s School is seeking a qualified Physical Education Teacher to join our Primary and Secondary departments, with a start date in August 2026.

The School

Since its establishment in September 2013, St. George’s School Munich has developed into a dynamic community comprising over 800 students and 100 educators. Our educational philosophy combines a comprehensive curriculum with a family-centered environment, fostering a friendly and stimulating atmosphere for both staff and students.

In September 2017, we embarked on an exciting new journey by moving to a modern, purpose-built campus in the city. These cutting-edge facilities accommodate all ages and a wide range of academic subjects.

We implement the National Curriculum throughout the school, offering IGCSE qualifications in the Upper School. Our Sixth Form students are prepared for the International Baccalaureate Diploma.

As part of a network of three schools in Germany, St. George’s offers excellent opportunities for professional growth and advancement within the school group.

The Location

Our new campus is located in the Schwabing-Freimann area, just north of the city center. The site enjoys convenient access to the U6 metro line and the A9 motorway.

Munich, the capital of Bavaria and the third-largest city in Germany, serves as a vibrant cultural center with a diverse international community. Situated at the northern edge of the Alps, it provides a high quality of life along with plentiful opportunities for travel and outdoor adventures.

Munich Airport is about 30km from the school, offering numerous daily flights to the UK and high-speed rail links to various European cities.

The Role

We are excited to welcome a qualified Physical Education Teacher to our P.E. Department, engaging with students across all age groups.

The ideal candidate will be an energetic educator with a proven ability to help students achieve their fullest potential. We are looking for someone who combines experience, enthusiasm, and a true passion for teaching to inspire our students.

Our P.E. Department is rapidly growing, with all students participating in physical education as part of their curriculum. A considerable number also engage in extra-curricular sports, which occur daily after school. Each member of the P.E. Department contributes to the extra-curricular sports program and supports activities after school and on weekends. A commitment to enhancing and developing this program is therefore essential.

All candidates must hold a valid teaching qualification. We accept degrees in education (e.g., B.Ed./M.Ed./Lehramt) or a postgraduate teaching certificate (e.g., PGCE) as valid qualifications. English language teaching certificates (e.g., TEFL/IELTS/CELTA) are not adequate.
