About This Role
POSITION DESCRIPTION: Christian Life School (Peace River North) is on the lookout for a dedicated full-time Physical Education teacher for grades K-9 for the 2026-2027 school year. As an accredited independent institution, Christian Life School (CLS) caters to a diverse group of around 150 students from Kindergarten through Junior High. Our committed faculty strives to inspire and guide students to reach their highest potential while encouraging them to venture beyond their comfort zones to achieve new academic heights.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- A valid BC Ministry of Education Teaching Certificate (or eligibility for certification)
- Alignment with our doctrinal statement, mission, and philosophies in accordance with our Christian faith-based institution and its policies
- Flexibility to adjust to various course assignments based on needs, including at least a minor in a teachable subject at the secondary level as recognized by the BC Ministry of Education
- Experience in modifying and adapting curriculum to meet diverse student needs
- Strong classroom management skills and strategies that cultivate a positive learning environment while upholding student dignity
- Willingness to implement school initiatives and objectives within the classroom
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and implement individualized learning plans for students encountering academic, social, and emotional challenges
- Eagerness to engage in a cooperative approach with staff on school improvement projects and professional growth opportunities
