About This Role
The Role
At Denla British School (DBS), Physical Education (PE) is delivered as a specialized subject throughout the entire school, spanning from Lower School to Sixth Form. The PE Teacher will be responsible for instructing students across various age groups and skill levels, providing a comprehensive physical education program that encourages both participation and athletic performance.
The individual in this role will be accountable for achieving the highest standards of student success in PE and sports. This entails effective tracking, assessment, and review of student progress, while also establishing clear improvement targets.
The PE Teacher is expected to embrace the core values of DBS and recognize the significance of academic studies, pastoral support, and extracurricular activities in fostering a well-rounded education.
This position will report directly to the Director of Sport.
Remuneration
The successful applicant will enjoy a competitive salary and benefits package reflective of their experience, which includes:
- Competitive salary.
- On-campus housing for the first year of the contract for overseas recruits, with the option to transition to off-site housing and receive a housing allowance starting in the second year.
- Flights to and from the school at the beginning and end of the contract (including for dependent spouse and children).
- Annual flight allowance (also applicable to dependent spouse and children).
- Medical insurance coverage (for dependent spouse and children as well).
- Full tuition fee coverage for up to two children, and three for teaching couples (50% coverage for additional children).
- A gratuity at the end of the contract.
