Responsible for: Male Physical Education, Sport, and Swimming Teacher role
Main purpose
The teacher will:
Adhere to the professional responsibilities expected of educators, consistently meeting the standards set forth in the UK and UAE Teachers' Standards.
Qualifications and experience
•
Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
•
Possesses a Bachelor's degree alongside a recognized teaching credential (e.g., PGCE, B.Ed.).
•
Has at least 1-2 years of proven experience teaching Art and Design Technology within the British Curriculum (preferred).
•
Prior teaching experience in the UAE is preferred.
Skills and Knowledge
•
Knowledge of the British National Curriculum.
•
Familiarity with adaptive teaching and learning methodologies.
•
A solid understanding of child development and learning theories.
•
Ability to tailor instruction to meet the individual needs of students.
•
Capacity to build strong relationships with students.
•
Knowledge of child safeguarding policies and practices.
•
Competence in effective behavior management techniques.
•
Strong ICT skills, particularly in leveraging technology to enhance the learning experience.
•
Understanding of the ethical and safe use of AI in educational settings.
•
Familiarity with UAE policies and inspection frameworks (preferred).

Duties and responsibilities
Teaching
•
Plan and deliver structured lessons for assigned classes, in line with the school's pedagogical strategies, planning, curriculum, and schemes of work.
•
Assess, monitor, document, and communicate the learning needs, progress, and achievements of students, making productive use of assessment data.
•
Adapt teaching to meet the strengths and needs of students while establishing high expectations that inspire, motivate, and challenge them.
•
Encourage positive progress and outcomes for students.
•
Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and a thorough understanding of the curriculum.
•
Prepare students for external assessments.
•
Utilize culturally appropriate resources in accordance with UAE laws and expectations.
•
Design curricula and lessons that are compliant with UAE laws and customs.

•
Support the development, implementation, and evaluation of the school’s policies and practices in alignment with its vision and values.
•

Provide cover when another teacher is unexpectedly absent.

•
Advocate for the safeguarding of all students within the school at all times.
•
Complete all required safeguarding training as necessary.
Other areas of responsibility
•
Ensure compliance with all regulations, policies, and frameworks mandated by the KHDA, BSO, and the UAE Ministry of Education.
•
Assist the leadership team in preparing for and executing the KHDA inspection process, developing and implementing post-inspection action plans.
•
Contribute to the success of the UAE National Agenda.
•
Maintain professional communications with KHDA and government officials, representing the school at required forums and meetings as requested by the Principal.
