About This Role
The Position
The Subject Teacher will directly report to the Head of Department and will be instrumental in promoting the subject across all grade levels within the school. The ideal applicant will possess excellent organizational abilities and exhibit passion, enthusiasm, and creativity in their teaching methods, aligning with the vision and objectives of this bilingual institution.
The chosen candidate will become part of a team of dedicated subject specialists, which is expected to grow considerably as student enrollment increases. They will engage in the continuous development of the subject throughout the institution.
Primary duties and responsibilities include:

Tutoring and Pastoral Care
Qualifications:
•
A robust degree primarily focused on the relevant subject area
•
An accredited teaching qualification
•
At least two years of teaching experience
Requirements:
•
Native-level English proficiency;
•
A minimum of two years of teaching experience in the relevant subject, capable of educating students aged 11-18;
•
Excellent communication skills in English, able to engage with students, parents, and colleagues, and facilitate translation into Chinese if needed to nurture positive relationships within the school community;
•
Ability to work collaboratively;
•
Experience with various teaching resources, including digital tools to support teaching and learning;
•
Cultural awareness regarding the distinctions present in China and a commitment to a cross-cultural approach in their work;
•
A commitment to being actively involved in the life of students and the school beyond regular academic hours, including participation in academic enrichment and extracurricular activities;
•
Experience with A-Level or IGCSE students is a plus.
