About This Role

SNA-HCMC is on the lookout for a dedicated MYP/DP Mathematics Teacher to start in AUGUST 2026. Candidates must have at least 2 years of experience in teaching the MYP. Participation in Co-Curricular Activities (CCAs) is also expected as we work to enhance our CCA offerings.

Applicants should be aware that SNA-HCMC is a member of CIS and fully accredited by WASC, emphasizing the importance of child protection and safeguarding during the hiring process. Key Responsibilities:

  • Familiarize oneself with and adhere to SNA school policies, practices, and procedures.
  • Communicate professionally and effectively with students, parents, colleagues, and the wider community.
  • Advocate for and implement IB teaching and learning approaches (ATL’s) in daily lessons.
  • Support students in the MYP/DP exhibition as applicable.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across grade levels and subjects to enhance both the written and taught curriculum.
  • Commit to ongoing personal professional development.
  • Regularly interact and collaborate with department members on planning, assessments, parent communications, subject organization, and classroom management, including behavior expectations and routines.
  • Work alongside other staff to promote social and emotional awareness within the school community.
  • Engage in behavioral management and pastoral care for homeroom and other class groups.
  • Attend staff meetings and provide constructive contributions.
  • Supervise student breaks as required.
  • Organize class activities as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate records of assessments, attendance, planning, reports, and parent communications using ManageBac and Classdojo/Seesaw.
  • Build strong relationships with parents to keep them informed about their children’s academic progress.
  • Act as a resource and guide for new staff members regarding curriculum, schedules, and procedures.
  • Participate in school events and undertake additional tasks as assigned by the Line Supervisor.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics along with a recognized teaching certificate; a Master’s degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in IB or international school settings.
  • In-depth knowledge of the IB MYP/DP frameworks and inquiry-based learning methodologies.
  • Proven ability to design and implement engaging, differentiated lessons for diverse learners.
  • Strong classroom management and student supervision skills.
  • Proficiency in integrating technology and digital tools into lesson plans.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Creative, collaborative, and proactive involvement in school activities and CCAs.
  • Dedication to child safeguarding and the ability to provide valid background checks.
  • Willingness to engage in school-wide initiatives, professional development, and student activities.

Compensation
