About This Role
SNA-HCMC is on the lookout for a talented MYP/DP Design Teacher to commence in AUGUST 2026. Candidates should have a minimum of 2 years of experience teaching within the MYP framework. Active engagement in Co-Curricular Activities (CCAs) is essential as we strive to enrich our CCA program.

Key Responsibilities:
- Acquaint yourself with and follow SNA's policies, practices, and procedures.
- Communicate in an effective and professional manner with students, parents, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
- Embrace and promote IB teaching and learning methodologies (ATL’s) in daily lessons.
- Embody the qualities of the IB learner profile.
- Assist students during the MYP/DP exhibition when applicable.
- Participate in collaborative meetings at the grade level, cross-curricular, and across programs to improve the written and taught curriculum.
- Commit to ongoing personal and professional development.
- Regularly communicate and work with department members on planning, assessment, parent interactions, subject organization, and classroom management issues, including behavior expectations and routines.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance social and emotional awareness.
- Actively engage in the behavioral management and pastoral care of homeroom and other classes.
- Attend and contribute positively to staff meetings.
- Help supervise students during breaks when required.
- Organize class activities as necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of assessments, attendance, planning, reports, and parent communication using ManageBac and Classdojo/Seesaw.
- Build relationships with the parent community to keep them well-informed about student progress.
- Serve as a resource for new staff regarding curriculum, schedules, and procedures.
- Participate in and assist with school events as needed and complete any additional tasks assigned by the MYP Coordinator.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Technology Design along with a recognized teaching certificate; a Master’s degree is preferred.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in an IB or international school setting.
- In-depth understanding of the IB MYP/DP frameworks and inquiry-based learning practices.
- Proven ability to create and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons for a diverse student population.
- Strong classroom management and student supervision skills.
- Competence in incorporating technology and digital tools into lesson plans.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Creative, collaborative, and proactive in contributing to school life and CCAs.
- Commitment to child safeguarding and the ability to provide valid background checks.
- Willingness to participate in school-wide initiatives, professional development, and student activities.
