Position Overview:

We are inviting applications from passionate French educators excited to inspire a love for learning and enrich the lively community at Dubai American Academy, with positions available starting in August 2026.

This role presents an exhilarating opportunity for Middle School French teachers dedicated to fostering curiosity, motivating student achievement, and supporting the success of every learner at DAA.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and interactive French lessons to students, following the school's curriculum and educational standards.
• Innovate and implement effective teaching strategies to instill a passion for French and promote critical thinking.
• Collaborate with colleagues to create a positive and supportive learning environment.
• Ensure curriculum content is delivered consistently.
• Tailor instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
• Cultivate a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages curiosity and exploration.
• Participate in parent-teacher conferences and maintain open communication with parents regarding student progress.

Ideal Candidates Will Have:

• A Bachelor of Education or relevant initial degree, along with a teaching qualification such as a PGCE/PGDE/teaching license or a Level 5 equivalent specialization in French/MFL.
• Proven experience teaching Middle School French, preferably in an American/IB curriculum environment.
• Comprehensive knowledge of inquiry-based learning and interactive French instruction.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to foster meaningful relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
• A genuine commitment to enhancing their practice and delivering outstanding teaching and learning experiences.
