Al Basma is a highly sought-after and well-regarded ENC School, and we are in search of a Chemistry specialist with A level experience to join our accomplished Secondary Science team.

Our school, which accommodates over 2000 students from FS1 to Year 13, currently operates with a seven-form entry system. In September 2020, we unveiled a modern Primary block dedicated to students in Years 3 to 6.

Following the National Curriculum of England, we implement the updated 2020 Development Matters Framework in EYFS. We utilize GL CAT4 and GL Progress tests for students in Years 4 to 10. Additionally, we provide various GCSE, iGCSE, iAS, and iA Levels from Cambridge, Edexcel, and Pearson exam boards for our older students, and we have begun introducing BTEC qualifications to better tailor educational pathways.

The school achieved BSO (British Schools Overseas) accreditation in May 2016 during its second operational year and has shown continuous improvement, attaining a good rating with an increasing number of outstanding features in May 2022. Since January 2017, we have consistently received Band A ratings in the ADEK Irtiq'aa inspections, and most recently, in February 2022, we solidified our Very Good ADEK rating, with many features rated outstanding.

• An internationally recognized Bachelor’s Degree in Y7 to 13 Science Education with a Mathematics specialism and QTS or equivalent.

or

• An internationally recognized Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics or a closely related field, along with an internationally recognized teaching qualification such as PGCE or PGDE in Secondary Mathematics and QTS or equivalent.

or

• An internationally recognized Bachelor’s Degree in any subject with an internationally recognized teaching qualification like PGCE or PGDE in Secondary Mathematics with QTS or equivalent and at least two years of experience teaching Secondary Mathematics.
