Your Role
As the Lower School Classroom Teacher (Upper Primary), you will:
- Collaboratively create and facilitate inquiry-based, concept-driven, and project-based learning experiences aligned with the IB PYP framework
- Cultivate a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment where every student feels a sense of belonging
- Communicate effectively with families to strengthen learning partnerships
- Encourage learner agency, voice, and ownership of their educational journey
- Use assessment and feedback strategically to support students' progress and growth
- Build strong, respectful relationships with students to promote their wellbeing
- Collaborate with colleagues to design interdisciplinary, concept-based, and innovative learning opportunities
- Engage actively in a reflective, collaborative professional culture
- Utilize a Learning Management System to organize course content, facilitate collaboration, and enhance student engagement
- Contribute to the wellbeing and pastoral care of the school community
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom culture where every learner feels valued and supported
- Participate in the vibrant school community through events like parent evenings and extracurricular activities
- Pursue personal professional development and introduce innovative ideas into the classroom
- Effectively employ AI to guide learners with a human-centered approach, promote ethical principles and responsible use, and equip them with the knowledge and skills to integrate AI into their education.

Profile
(qualifications, experience, skills, and aptitudes required for the position)
- Strong commitment to inquiry-based, concept-driven, and project-based learning
- At least two years of recent, successful experience teaching Upper Primary students (ages 8 to 10) within the PYP framework
- Ability to design engaging and meaningful learning experiences based on IB philosophy
- Skill in creating inclusive and adaptive learning environments that meet the needs of diverse learners through thoughtful differentiation
- Active promotion of student agency, voice, and ownership of their education
- Intentional use of assessment and feedback to inform instruction and support student development
- Ability to build positive and respectful relationships enhancing student wellbeing
