Key Stage 1 (Year 1 or Year 2) Class Teacher – Commencing August 2026

School: International Community School (ICS), Al Manhal Campus, Abu Dhabi

We are currently searching for a dedicated and passionate Key Stage 1 Class Teacher to join our team in August 2026. As a BSO-accredited school, ICS Al Manhal follows the National Curriculum for England, creating a supportive and ambitious educational environment for both students and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons aligned with the National Curriculum for England
  • Adapt instruction to meet the varied needs of all learners
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom atmosphere
  • Use assessments and data to monitor and support student progress
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum delivery and share best practices
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and contribute to school-wide initiatives
  • Maintain respectful and effective communication with parents and the broader school community

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education (B.Ed.) or PGCE with QTS
  • At least 2 years of experience in a primary teaching position (UK experience is preferred)
  • Familiarity with the National Curriculum for England is highly valued
  • Strong competencies in lesson planning, classroom management, and student engagement
  • A dedication to creative, student-centered learning experiences
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • ADEK approval or eligibility is advantageous
  • ECTs are encouraged to apply, with an induction programme available (please note that candidates are responsible for ECT programme costs)
