Professionalism

All staff members are expected to maintain professionalism by following the principles outlined in the IAA Code of Conduct, which every employee signs each year, along with the Policy manual and their employment contract. These documents establish standards that encompass, but are not limited to:

• Upholding the professional standards of IAA in both work and community interactions.
• Maintaining confidentiality regarding all employment-related matters at IAA, both within and outside the school environment as appropriate.
• Complying with all IAA policies and procedures.
• Publicly endorsing the school and avoiding involvement in activities that may damage IAA's reputation.
• Communicating effectively and appropriately with the school community in both verbal and written formats.

• Keeping parents informed about student progress through regular updates.

Teaching and Learning

• Exhibit passion, expertise, and creativity in delivering age-appropriate teaching methods.
• Effectively plan and implement the established curriculum.

• Cater to the diverse learning needs of all students, including late entrants, language learners, and those with varying academic capabilities.

• Develop and implement strategies that encourage student self-discipline, reinforce positive behavior, and manage disruptive conduct.
• Celebrate students' accomplishments both in school and beyond.
• Respond to students with sensitivity, ensuring concerns are addressed professionally and promptly.
• Serve as a tutor or class teacher as required by assigned roles, delivering relevant curricula (e.g., PSHE).

Professional Development
