About This Role

ROLE SUMMARY:

Located in Palmela near Lisbon, St. Peter’s International School serves around 1,500 students ranging from 4 months to 18 years on a modern 37,000 m² campus. The school offers a bilingual curriculum (Portuguese/English), Cambridge programs, and the International Baccalaureate, as well as boarding options for older students. With outstanding facilities, smaller class sizes, and a strong emphasis on academic excellence, St. Peter’s provides a rich environment for both students and teachers.

We are seeking a committed and talented IB Psychology Teacher to begin implementing the IB Psychology curriculum in August for the new academic year. This role offers an exciting chance for an educator dedicated to inspiring students, fostering critical thinking, and nurturing a love for learning.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


Design and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons adapted for diverse student needs.


Utilize innovative teaching methods, including inquiry-based learning and digital tools.


Assess student performance and offer constructive feedback.


Contribute to curriculum development and integrate technology to enrich learning experiences.


Foster a respectful and inclusive classroom atmosphere while promoting student well-being.


Work collaboratively with colleagues and participate in school events and extracurricular pursuits.


Commit to ongoing professional development and comply with safeguarding policies.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:


A degree in Psychology, Education, or a related field (teaching qualification is a plus).


Experience teaching IB Psychology or similar international curricula.


A strong desire to inspire students and support their academic and personal development.


Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.


Experience in an international or multicultural environment (preferred).


Proficiency in English and a dedication to student welfare.

Compensation

£30,000 - £45,000+ (Regional Equivalent)
