We are seeking enthusiastic and inspiring Science Teachers experienced in the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP), Diploma Programme (DP), and IGCSE for the role of Head of Science, Environmental Systems, and Societies Teacher!

The perfect candidate will demonstrate a strong passion for Science, share the school’s vision, and possess the ability to motivate, support, and inspire students.

What will your daily responsibilities include?

In this role, you will:

  • Demonstrate expertise in teaching senior school Science, Environmental Systems, and Societies, leveraging valuable experience in IB MYP, DP, and IGCSE.
  • Possess a thorough understanding of the International Baccalaureate (IB) philosophy and curricular framework.
  • Collaborate in curriculum development, focusing on the creation of concept-based inquiry units along with authentic assessment strategies.
  • Engage students at various levels, customizing instruction to address their diverse needs.
  • Apply a constructivist learning approach while fostering student autonomy.
  • Promote international-mindedness and encourage service learning.
  • Show exceptional organizational skills.
  • Be approachable and visible, exhibiting excellent interpersonal skills and a good sense of humor.
  • Demonstrate flexibility, creativity, and resilience.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to enrich the broader school community.
  • Teach additional related subjects as needed, based on departmental requirements and your expertise.

What qualifications will you bring?

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience with the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme (IB MYP) and Diploma Programme (IB DP).
  • Significant experience with IGCSE.
  • A background in teaching Science, Environmental Systems, and Societies at all senior school levels.
  • A bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field, accompanied by a relevant teaching qualification.
  • International teaching experience that is relevant.
  • Proficiency in English, both spoken and written.
  • Preferred: Experience or willingness to teach an additional related subject such as Integrated Science, Foundation Biology/Chemistry, etc.
  • A commitment to continuous learning and staying updated on current research.
  • The ability to inspire, challenge, and empower students.
  • Creativity, compassion, and a strong passion for positively influencing students' learning.
