As a Humanities Teacher at GEMS Al Barsha National School, you will create engaging and thought-provoking lessons that make History and/or Geography come alive. You will assist students in honing their enquiry, evaluation, and research abilities, guiding them to grasp both local and international viewpoints. Additionally, you will be actively involved in the broader school community, contributing to extracurricular activities, school events, and the ongoing development of the curriculum.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, prepare, and deliver high-caliber Humanities lessons that captivate and motivate students across various abilities.
- Encourage curiosity, critical thinking, and a profound understanding of historical and geographical concepts through intentional learning experiences.
- Evaluate, record, and communicate student progress, utilizing data to guide planning and differentiation.
- Create an inclusive classroom atmosphere that supports all learners and fosters academic excellence.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop innovative curricular plans and exchange best practices.
- Maintain effective communication with parents to provide regular updates regarding student progress and accomplishments.
- Engage in departmental meetings, professional development, and extracurricular activities.

Qualifications & Knowledge:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in History, Geography, or a closely related Humanities field, along with a recognized teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
- Solid subject expertise in History and/or Geography.
- Proficient use of ICT and digital tools to enhance teaching and learning experiences.
