DUTIES:

In this position, the Human Resources Advisor (HRA) will report to the Manager of Human Resources and will provide innovative and strategic counsel, support, and guidance across a range of human resource services. Responsibilities encompass strategic human resource management, employee and labor relations, compensation, recruitment and retention, as well as supportive employment and accommodation initiatives. The HRA will also engage in corporate initiatives by participating in joint committees, working on key projects, and identifying emerging challenges.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree focused on Human Resources; relevant combinations of education, training, and experience may be considered
  • Understanding and experience in interpreting and applying laws, regulations, policies, procedures, and collective agreements
  • Proven track record in delivering general HR consulting services, including recruitment and employee/labor relations
  • Demonstrated ability to provide innovative, strategic guidance to management on human resources-related issues
  • Experience in supportive employment and accommodation services
  • Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
  • Client-focused approach with outstanding verbal and written communication abilities, including the skill to communicate complex information to diverse audiences
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a knack for collaboration and relationship building
  • Competent in conflict resolution and negotiation
  • Ability to effectively manage time to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Commitment to continuous learning

Conditions of Employment:

  • Candidates must have legal authorization to work in Canada
