About This Role

We are looking for an experienced, on site, HR professional. Ideally you will be someone who already works in education and who is looking for professional development and advancement.

As the HR Manager you will work closely with the Director of HR to provide a high‑quality and efficient HR service across the School, delivering effective administrative support through every stage of the employee lifecycle. You will play a key role in ensuring the school is fully compliant and offers colleagues clear, competent, empathetic support and guidance. You will have experience of hands-on people management, wellbeing, support and know when to be reactive and when to consider responses carefully. Interviews will seek out professionals who understand school HR processes/requirements.

You will be joining a hard working, fun team in the heart of Chiswick West London. Transport links are excellent with Chiswick railway station 5 min walk away and tube stations at Chiswick High Street.

This role will be a platform for someone to eventually move into the Director of HR role.

To find out more about this role please contact the Dir of HR Andrea Ramsay (ara@chiswickschool.org) - we can then arrange a call.

Closing date for this role is 4 September 2026, but please note that interviews will be held throughout the process and the school reserves the right to close this advert early, if a suitable candidate is found early.

Previous applicants need not re-apply please, if we feel you are suitable then we will be in touch.

Chiswick School is committed to safeguarding children and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. We will ensure that all our recruitment and selection practices reflect this commitment. All successful candidates will be subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check, Internet Search check and all other statutory checks in line with KCSiE.
