High School Mathematics Teacher
About This Role
Starting: 3rd of August 2026
“Our mission is to provide an inclusive and international education in a safe, joyful, supportive, and stimulating environment that meets the unique needs of every learner. We inspire students to achieve their full potential while promoting responsible global citizenship.”
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a Mathematics Teacher who is committed to creating a nurturing, motivating, and inclusive learning atmosphere for all students. Join us in making a significant and lasting impact.
Mathematics is a well-loved and established subject at St Andrews, and we are eager to welcome an inspiring educator to strengthen our team. With small class sizes and motivated students, our teaching approach is dynamic, employing a variety of teaching and learning strategies.
At St Andrews International School Bangkok, we believe that understanding each child is crucial for effective education. Our classrooms serve as welcoming, supportive spaces where students are encouraged to explore, learn, and grow. Our teachers realize this vision through creativity, dedication, and a commitment to each child's unique educational path.
Inspiring Learning and Development:
As a Mathematics teacher at St Andrews, you will support the academic and personal development of your students by adapting your teaching methods to meet their individual needs, abilities, and interests. You will stay informed about current educational practices, integrating innovative methods into our curriculum while providing regular, meaningful feedback to parents. Collaborative planning is integral to our philosophy, and you will work closely with colleagues and Heads of Subject to design cohesive learning experiences.
Our Key Stage 3 curriculum aligns with the National Curriculum but emphasizes creative real-life applications and is taught in mixed-ability groups. In Key Stage 4, students in Years 10 and 11 study IGCSE Mathematics, with some taking their IGCSE exams early and subsequently enrolling in a Further Pure Maths course.
For Key Stage 5, all students continue their Mathematics studies as part of their graduation pathway, choosing between Mathematics: analysis and approaches or Mathematics: applications and interpretation in their IB Diploma or IB Career-related Programme. Alternatively, they may select Mathematics as a school-based subject. Familiarity with the IB HL AA or AI Maths curriculum is highly desirable, along with experience in A Level Mathematics and Further Mathematics.
We invite applications from both new teachers, for whom we offer DfE, ECF-based training for Early Career Teachers (ECTs), and seasoned educators. Previous teaching experience in IB or A Level Mathematics is a plus.
Collaborating as a Professional Team Member:
Joining our team means working towards shared goals and contributing positively to our school community. You will implement assessment and reporting procedures with integrity and accuracy, supervise students during assigned periods, and assist in curriculum development through regular meetings and professional development sessions. Working closely with fellow educators, you will help maintain a consistent, high-quality learning environment across classes and year groups.
Professional Development
We prioritize professional development, providing access to Nord Anglia University’s CPD platform and encouraging collaboration through Professional Learning Communities, Triads, and WalkThrus. With leadership opportunities and Master's programs available, we support our teachers in their lifelong learning journey.
Building a Welcoming School Community:
Our school is a lively environment that encourages curiosity and participation. As an educator, you will create inviting and stimulating classrooms and communal spaces that spark excitement about learning and student engagement. You will take part in weekly extracurricular activities, represent the school in local and international communities, and support our House system by engaging in House events.
