The chosen candidate will be instrumental in steering the Secondary phase, promoting excellence in teaching and learning, and aiding in the strategic evolution of the school. The Role
The successful candidate will:

- Offer strategic leadership and management of the Secondary phase, ensuring high levels of teaching, learning, and achievement.
- Spearhead curriculum development and its implementation across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, preparing for Key Stage 5 (A Levels) starting in September.
- Build upon the success of the school’s first iGCSE cohort, ensuring strong outcomes and effective preparation for examinations.
- Oversee the planning, development, and successful introduction of a high-quality A Level program, focusing on curriculum design, staffing, and student pathways.
- Propel school improvement efforts, including monitoring standards, conducting data analysis, and enhancing attainment across all secondary key stages.
- Establish robust assessment systems that align with international benchmarks and examination standards.
- Support and mentor staff through coaching, appraisals, and targeted professional development, particularly in examination delivery.
- Ensure effective safeguarding, behavior management, and student wellbeing throughout the Secondary phase.
- Collaborate with the Principal and Senior Leadership Team on whole-school strategy, including post-16 growth and university pathways.
- Cultivate strong relationships with parents, staff, and the broader school community, especially concerning examination expectations and post-16 progression.
- Actively participate in and contribute to the broader life and ethos of the school.

Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in education or a relevant field; a master’s degree in education or leadership is preferred.
- A recognized teaching qualification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent).
- Significant teaching experience, with at least 3–5 years in Secondary education.
- Proven experience in a leadership or management capacity within a school environment.
- Strong understanding of the British curriculum, including Key Stage 3, iGCSE, and A Level pathways.
- Experience or a solid understanding of launching or leading post-16 provisions (desirable).
- Strong strategic thinking and organizational skills with the capability to lead change initiatives.
- Proficiency in utilizing data to foster improvement and raise attainment in examination classes.
- A commitment to safeguarding, child protection, and promoting student wellbeing.
- An ability to nurture a positive school culture and support inclusive education.

Compensation

£30,000 - £45,000+ (Regional Equivalent)
