Head of Mathematics / Lead Practitioner - August 2026

Bloom World Academy is actively seeking creative and proficient individuals to take on the role of Head of Mathematics / Lead Practitioner for the Academic Year 2026/2027.

As an educator within the IB framework, you will need to showcase a strong commitment to promoting international mindedness in your teaching and contribute to its development across the school. A background in, or a solid grasp of, a student-centered inquiry-based learning approach is crucial. Candidates should have exceptional interpersonal skills and a proven record of building and maintaining professional relationships, along with strong written and verbal communication abilities.

We are looking for seasoned educators who are passionate about empowering every student to learn and develop, and who can create an environment where all students can excel. You will be capable of teaching learners at various levels and have a proven track record of delivering outstanding student outcomes.

While familiarity with the IB program is highly regarded, it is not a requirement as training will be provided. As a lead practitioner, you should be adept at crafting enriching, engaging, and challenging learning experiences, possess a solid understanding of assessment and its classroom application, and most importantly, have a genuine passion for enabling students to achieve their fullest potential and beyond.

Required Candidate Profile

•
Proficient or advanced-level English language skills

•
A Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or a related field, alongside a PGCE in Education with QTS or an equivalent qualification

•
Experience in teaching IB or GCSE subjects

•
A minimum of four years of experience in esteemed educational institutions

•
A demonstrated history of achieving exceptional student performance

•
Demonstrates professionalism, enthusiasm, commitment, and integrity

•
Possesses intercultural awareness, strong communication skills, and a willingness to engage with students and parents

•
The ability to teach A Level/Further Maths or IBDP AA Higher Level would be highly beneficial
