Al Jazeera Academy (Secondary School) is on the lookout for a dynamic Head of Maths to join our dedicated staff in this thriving and progressive institution.

Our mathematics department has consistently delivered top AS Level and IGCSE results across the school. It is a well-equipped department that offers a range of resources to assist teachers in providing high-quality lessons that consistently meet or exceed expectations.

Every student at the academy is provided with a tablet (Windows platform) that serves as an additional resource to enhance their learning experience. Our students exhibit a strong enthusiasm for Mathematics, with the entire IGCSE cohort taking their exams early in January of Year 11.

The new appointee will take over an experienced team that is well-versed in the established systems and processes. The department comprises 7 teachers along with 1 Head of Department (HoD). The candidate will collaborate closely with the current HoD to ensure a smooth transition.

Candidates are encouraged to engage in informal discussions regarding the role with either the current HoD or the Head of School.

Salary and benefits package:

Paperwork Requirements:
Candidates must present notarized and attested academic degrees, teaching certificates, transcripts, marriage certificates, and dependent birth certificates (if applicable). Specific requirements will be communicated during the contract stage, along with guidance on obtaining necessary documents.

The chosen candidate will need to provide a criminal record check from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) prior to finalizing employment. Candidates outside the DBS jurisdiction must obtain an approved certificate from a comparable authority in their current country of residence.
