  • Collaborate closely with teachers to differentiate instruction and establish personalized learning plans.
  • Oversee exam access arrangements, accommodations, and curriculum adaptations for students needing extra support.
  • Track student progress through regular assessments, meetings with parents, and intervention programs.

Collaboration & Professional Development:

  • Provide training and mentorship to teachers on differentiated instruction, inclusive classroom practices, and behavior management.
  • Conduct CPD workshops to improve teachers' understanding of SEND, EAL, and best practices in inclusion.
  • Work in partnership with parents, external specialists, and the school leadership team to create a cohesive support structure for students.
  • Coordinate with SPEA and regulatory bodies to ensure adherence to inclusion standards and policies.

Policy & Compliance:

  • Ensure that Inclusion policies and procedures are in alignment with the Sharjah Inclusive Education Framework.
  • Keep thorough records and documentation to meet SPEA reporting and inspection standards.
  • Assist the school’s Admissions team in evaluating new students for learning support needs and advising families on available resources.

Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education, Psychology, Educational Leadership, or a related area (Master’s Degree in Special Education is preferred).
  • Recognized qualification in SEN/Inclusion/SEND coordination (e.g., NASENCO, SENCO qualification, PGCE with SEN specialization).
