About This Role

The Role

• As a member of our educational team, your primary responsibility will be to deliver the geography curriculum as established by the leadership team of the school.

  • This may also involve teaching an alternative IGCSE course, such as CAIE Global Perspectives.
  • You will play a key role in guiding students through the university admissions process.
  • Monitoring student conduct and creating a respectful classroom atmosphere will be essential parts of your role.
  • You will be tasked with tracking student progress and assessing their work.
  • Writing reports and engaging with parents as necessary will be part of your responsibilities.
  • Maintaining an accurate and organized attendance register for the class is crucial.
  • You will also oversee students during recess and lunch as assigned.

• It is vital to maintain a focus on student welfare at all times:

  • You will be part of one of the School's Houses, actively participating in organized activities.
  • Adhering to the school’s safeguarding policies and procedures is a requirement.
  • Communication with the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and parents will be necessary when needed.
  • Additionally, you will have evening boarding supervision duties, typically once every two or three weeks, in line with the School's policies.

• You will also engage in the School’s co-curricular programs, which include offerings such as:

  • sports
  • arts
  • academic enhancement
  • outdoor pursuits

• Further responsibilities may be assigned by the School’s Leadership Team, which could encompass:

  • Collaborating on marketing and admissions initiatives.
  • Participating in staff meetings, in-service training sessions, etc.
  • Taking part in all-school events, such as Foundation Day.
  • Serving on various committees within the school.

Compensation

£30,000 - £45,000+ (Regional Equivalent)
