The Role
In the capacity of an Early Years Teacher, you will design and implement outstanding lessons tailored to accommodate all learners. You will cultivate a positive and inclusive classroom environment that nurtures curiosity, creativity, and self-confidence in every student.
Additionally, you will play an active role in the broader school community, participating in co-curricular activities and community events to support our students' academic and personal growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver captivating and well-organized lessons in line with the school’s curriculum.
- Assess, document, and communicate student progress to ensure each child reaches their full potential.
- Establish a safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom atmosphere conducive to effective learning.
- Exhibit current knowledge of the curriculum, subject matter, and effective teaching strategies.
- Collaborate with fellow educators to plan units of work, exchange best practices, and contribute to curriculum enhancement.
- Maintain effective communication with parents to provide regular updates regarding student progress and well-being.
- Engage in co-curricular and extra-curricular activities, school events, and committees.
- Adhere to the GEMS Education Core Values and school policies consistently.
- Foster cultural awareness, resilience, and a genuine enthusiasm for learning among all students.
Qualifications & Knowledge
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education (or an equivalent teaching qualification).
- Alternatively, a Bachelor’s Degree along with a recognized teaching certification or license.
- Strong grasp of utilizing ICT in education to enhance learning and engagement.

Experience
- A minimum of two years of teaching experience in a relevant subject area and age group.
- Prior experience teaching the National Curriculum for England is highly preferred.
- Experience in an international school setting is advantageous.
