Position Overview:
- Design and implement captivating science lessons in physics, biology, or chemistry that adhere to the IB curriculum.
- Evaluate student progress and create a nurturing learning atmosphere.
- Collaborate with fellow educators and engage in ongoing professional development.
- Participate in the school community and contribute to extracurricular initiatives.
- Possess a solid understanding of physics, biology, or chemistry within the IB MYP or DP framework.
- Demonstrate the ability to plan, teach, and evaluate effective science lessons utilizing inquiry-based learning.
- Exhibit strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective interaction with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Be adept at incorporating technology into teaching and learning processes.
- Prior experience with the IB curriculum and assessment methods is preferred.
- Show a readiness to adapt to the changing demands of the IB programme and school environment.
- Have a genuine passion for science and a dedication to inspiring a love of learning in students.
General Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Education or a Bachelor’s degree in any field along with a Postgraduate Certificate/Diploma in Education (PGCE/PGDE).
- Familiarity with the MYP and the foundational elements of the curriculum frameworks is advantageous.
- Newly qualified teachers or those with teaching experience in a recognized educational institution are encouraged to apply.

IMPORTANT NOTE: The iPGCE (assessment only) does not meet the requirements for Teacher Registration status from the Hong Kong Education Bureau, which is essential for teaching at an ESF school.
