Position Overview:
- The primary role of the classroom teacher is to enhance student learning and development by designing, preparing, and delivering programs tailored to individual learning needs while achieving specific student outcomes.
- Teachers are responsible for delivering lessons across various student abilities and classes, ensuring effective differentiation to cater to different learning styles.
- Engage in ongoing assessment and provide feedback to monitor student progress, adapting teaching methods as necessary to enhance learning outcomes.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement, collaboration, and mutual respect.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and support staff to create a unified educational experience that supports the comprehensive development of each child.
- Participate in reflective practice and pursue professional development to continually enhance skills and knowledge, thereby increasing student engagement and learning.
- Utilize innovative teaching strategies and resources, including technology, to support learning and inspire creativity.
- Promote social, emotional, and physical growth by integrating relevant life skills and values into the curriculum.
General Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Education or a Bachelor’s degree in any field accompanied by a Postgraduate Certificate/Diploma in Education (PGCE/PGDE)
- Familiarity with the PYP and key principles of the curriculum frameworks is advantageous
- Newly qualified teachers or those with teaching experience from a recognized educational institution

IMPORTANT NOTE: The iPGCE (assessment only) does not meet the criteria for Teacher Registration status from the Hong Kong Education Bureau, which is mandatory for teaching at an ESF school.
