Position Overview:

We invite applications from passionate English educators committed to cultivating a love for learning and enhancing the community at Dubai American Academy. Positions are available beginning August 2026.

This is an exciting opportunity for English teachers who are dedicated to sparking curiosity, motivating students, and supporting the success of every individual at DAA.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide engaging and interactive English lessons to students, following the school's curriculum and educational standards.
• Develop and execute creative teaching methods that inspire a passion for English while fostering critical thinking abilities.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to create a positive and nurturing learning environment.
• Ensure the consistent delivery of curriculum content.
• Tailor instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of all students.
• Encourage a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that promotes exploration and curiosity.
• Participate in parent-teacher conferences and maintain open communication with parents regarding student progress.

Successful candidates will possess:

• A Bachelor of Education degree or a relevant initial degree, along with a teaching qualification such as a PGCE/PGDE/teaching license or Level 5 equivalent specialization in English.
• Proven experience teaching High School English, preferably in an American or IB curriculum environment.
• A solid understanding of inquiry-based learning and practical English instruction.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• The ability to build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
• A dedication to continually improving their practice and delivering exceptional teaching and learning experiences for students.
