Lycée Français Sophie Germain and Lycée Français Guy de Maupassant, two esteemed French-accredited international schools, are seeking a talented English Teacher to join their Middle and High School teams for the 2026–2027 academic year.

Our institutions guide students towards the International French Baccalaureate (Baccalauréat Français International – BFI), placing a strong emphasis on English Language and Literature. The students will face an advanced-level evaluation similar to A-level English and Literature, which requires outstanding academic performance, deep subject expertise, and inspiring teaching.

The Role

As an English Teacher for Middle and High School, your responsibilities will include:

  • Instructing students in English Language and English Literature as part of the International British Section of the French National Curriculum
  • Preparing students for important external assessments, such as the International French Baccalaureate and A-level equivalent examinations
  • Designing engaging, challenging, and structured lessons that promote linguistic accuracy, critical thinking, and literary analysis
  • Fostering a positive, respectful, and stimulating classroom environment
  • Supporting students' academic growth, self-confidence, and personal development
  • Assessing, tracking, and reporting on student progress in alignment with curriculum standards
  • Actively engaging in departmental collaboration and contributing to the wider school community

Qualifications & Experience

  • Master’s degree in English, English Literature, or English Teaching
