As an ELL teacher, your role will be to equip students with the necessary English language skills for academic achievement and social integration within our school. Your tasks will include teaching ELL classes, coordinating literacy initiatives across the school, supporting fellow educators, and providing individualized assistance to students in their language acquisition journey.

Your responsibilities will also encompass:
- Designing and delivering lessons aimed at improving students' English literacy, emphasizing academic literacy and creative writing.
- Building meaningful relationships with each student to understand their unique needs better and delivering tailored support to enhance their English language skills.
- Collaborating with classroom teachers to devise effective instructional methods, share resources, and exchange ideas to improve the overall English language learning experience.
- Identifying students who require additional language support and customizing interventions to meet their specific needs.
- Maintaining records of interventions and consistently monitoring student progress to ensure ongoing improvement.
- Engaging with parents by providing updates on their child's progress and facilitating seminars on topics such as guided reading and effective language learning practices for home.
- Nurturing meaningful relationships with students to ensure a personalized and successful learning experience.
- Guiding students towards academic success, personal accountability, and intellectual growth.
- Pursuing ongoing professional development by participating in training, collaborating with peers, and keeping abreast of the latest educational strategies and practices.
- Contributing positively to a collaborative school community.

Work Experience

- Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree in your subject area (Elementary and Early Education degrees are also highly valued for Pre-K through Grade 5).
- Experience: A minimum of two years as the lead teacher in a classroom, which is a requirement for obtaining a working visa.
