About This Role

International Sharing School Madeira, located in Portugal, is a vibrant and diverse international school committed to providing high-quality education through the International Baccalaureate (IB) programs. We are currently seeking a dedicated DP Economics and Global Politics Teacher and MYP Individuals and Societies to join our Social Sciences department. This position offers an exciting opportunity to teach IB Diploma Programme and MYP students at the high/secondary school level.

Job Description:
As a DP Economics and Global Politics and MYP Individuals and Societies teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons that inspire critical thinking and global awareness among students. You will support learners in developing their understanding of economic theories, political systems, and global issues while preparing them for success in the IB examinations and the MYP eAssessment.

Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Political Science, or a related field (minimum requirement)
- At least 2 years of teaching experience with IB DP curriculum preferred
- Strong knowledge of IB DP Economics syllabus; familiarity with Global Politics is essential
- Ability to design lesson plans that meet diverse learning needs and promote inquiry-based learning
- Excellent communication skills in English (oral and written)
- Competence in using educational technology tools for teaching purposes
