Director of Sports

The International School of Monaco is seeking a passionate and committed Director of Sports. This position will involve overseeing all personnel within the Physical Education (PE) department, managing external sports coaches, and leading initiatives associated with the World Academy of Sport (WAoS).

The Director of Sports will play a vital role in supervising both curricular and extracurricular physical education and sporting activities throughout the school. This position is crucial for shaping and enhancing the vision that directs our sports programs at ISM.

This vision will be developed through collaboration with the PE department and staff involved in sports. A strong passion for student athletics and a willingness to develop a program that encourages participation and celebrates achievement are essential for this role.

The ideal candidate will exhibit excellent organizational abilities, be a competent administrator, and possess the skills to lead a diverse and large department.

In addition, the Director of Sports will be tasked with overseeing our World Academy of Sport accreditation and program, ensuring the effective implementation of our Athlete Friendly Education Policy.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of a bachelor’s degree from a recognized institution.
• A recognized teaching qualification.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience working with young children.
• A commitment to extracurricular sporting activities.

• Experience as a Director of Sport in an international school is advantageous.
• Basic proficiency in French is a plus.
