The perfect candidate will demonstrate a solid understanding of curriculum and effective teaching methods that create exceptional learning opportunities for our students within a true Christian environment.
Responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively with other educators to develop and execute a thorough instructional program that meets clearly established curricular and institutional goals.
- Take on additional tasks as directed by Senior Leaders.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a related field, preferably in Business, along with a Postgraduate Diploma in Education or an equivalent teaching qualification, including a minimum of 10 weeks of practicum experience, is mandatory.
- Acceptance of teacher training by Alberta Education is required.
- Prior experience teaching Business or similar subjects at the high school level, especially in international schools, is preferred.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is crucial.
- Please note any experience with IB or AP programs, although it is not a prerequisite.
- Candidates who exemplify the values of Christian education are favored.
Effective Date of Employment
The role is expected to begin in mid-August 2026. The initial contract is typically for 2 years, with the possibility of extending for additional 2-year terms upon mutual agreement.
