About This Role

Job Description

Classroom & Learning Support
- Support the teacher in lesson delivery by assisting individual students or small groups.
- Organize and distribute educational materials, set up audio-visual equipment, and prepare resources for projects.
- Supervise students during teacher-led sessions and offer one-on-one instructional assistance as required.
- Maintain classroom supplies, helping children utilize materials, clean up, and organize their workspaces.
- Assist with reading, literacy, numeracy, and phonics activities under the teacher's direction.
- Cover classes during brief teacher absences (in emergencies only), adhering to provided lesson plans.

Administrative Support
- Perform general office duties including photocopying, filing, preparing worksheets, and managing resources.
- Assist in preparations for SPEA inspections, ensuring all compliance documentation is in order.
- Support school administration with coordination and event logistics as needed.

Student Supervision & Safety
- Oversee students during breaks, lunchtime, and during pick-up and drop-off, ensuring their safety and promoting positive behavior.
- Monitor student dispersal according to assigned duties.
- Accompany children to the restroom and assist younger students with personal hygiene when necessary.
- Ensure a safe handover of students to authorized adults at designated drop-off points.

Cultural & Co-Curricular Activities
- Participate actively in planning and executing UAE National Day and other Emirati cultural celebrations.
- Support after-school activities and events to promote the overall development of students.
- Advocate for Emirati heritage, language, and values through school initiatives and displays.

Health and Safety
- Adhere to and enforce all school health and safety protocols.
- Remain vigilant in classrooms and common areas to avert accidents or hazards.
- Assist in implementing policies regarding student conduct, behavior, and safety.

Skills Qualifications/knowledge:
- A solid level of general education, particularly in Math and English.

Skills:
- Excellent communication abilities with a strong command of written and spoken English.
- ICT skills are preferred.
- Capable of managing multiple tasks, working under pressure, and relating well to both children and colleagues.
