Education Stage: Elementary/Primary School
Minimum Experience: 5 years
Role Overview:
The Assistant Head of Prep School – EYFS will play a crucial role in managing and guiding the EYFS department. This position requires strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of the UK early years curriculum, and a passion for creating an engaging and supportive educational environment. The successful applicant will work closely with teaching staff, parents, and senior leadership to maintain high standards of teaching and learning within EYFS.
Skills and Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in the UK Early Years Foundation Stage
- Proven leadership or management experience in primary or prep school settings
- Thorough knowledge of current best practices in early childhood education
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with children, parents, colleagues, and stakeholders
- Ability to lead curriculum development in alignment with UK educational standards
- Skilled at mentoring and supporting teachers to improve their practice
- Familiar with assessment tools relevant to EYFS monitoring
- Qualified teacher status acknowledged by UK educational authorities
- PGCE/i and/or a relevant Educational Degree
