Arabic as a Foreign Language (AFL) & Islamic Studies Teacher
The Hamilton International School seeks a passionate Arabic as a Foreign Language (AFL) & Islamic Studies Teacher to join our dynamic international community. The successful candidate will deliver outstanding instruction in Arabic and Islamic Studies, cultivate cultural understanding and values, and support students from diverse backgrounds in achieving their fullest potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach AFL at Secondary levels and provide instruction in Islamic Studies following MoEHE guidelines.
- Create and implement engaging, inclusive lessons that promote language skills, cultural identity, and Islamic values.
- Effectively use assessments to monitor student progress and inform teaching practices.
- Adapt teaching methods to meet a range of learning needs.
- Build positive relationships with students and their families.
- Contribute to curriculum development and participate in various school activities.
- Ensure safeguarding practices and maintain high professional standards.
Qualifications We Seek
- Bachelor’s Degree in English Language.
- Teaching certification recognized by Qatar MoEHE.
- Fluent in Arabic with strong English language skills.
- Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in AFL and/or Islamic Studies.
- Knowledge of IB Arabic B / Ab Initio is advantageous but not required.
- Experience in international school settings is preferred.
