RESPONSIBILITIES
You will be tasked with delivering exceptional teaching and learning in accordance with the school's Teaching and Learning Policy by:
- Creating a supportive learning atmosphere that promotes outstanding practice.
- Defining clear teaching and learning goals.
- Setting specific targets that build on students' prior knowledge.
- Identifying and catering to the needs of SEN (POD), EAL, and G&T students through customized differentiation.
- Designing lessons and activities that maintain an engaging and challenging pace.
- Effectively utilizing assessment for learning.
- Analyzing performance data to tailor planning and provide differentiated lessons.
- Integrating ICT to enrich learning experiences and outcomes.
- Enforcing discipline in line with the school's 'Behaviour for Learning Policy' and encouraging positive practices relating to punctuality, behavior, work standards, and homework.
- Assessing the achievement of learning objectives and using this data to enhance teaching methods.
- Grading student work at least biweekly and establishing progress targets in line with the school's Marking Policy.
- Systematically evaluating and recording student progress while employing performance data for informed planning and instruction.
- Administering student assessments as required by examination boards and school protocols.
- Preparing and delivering comprehensive reports to parents.
- Engaging in parent/student events.
- Contributing to subject development by creating, reviewing, and updating curriculum plans and schemes of work.
- Collaborating with professionals such as speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, and educational psychologists when necessary.
- Undertaking any additional responsibilities assigned by the Senior Leadership Team.
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject along with a PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.
Minimum Experience:
- A minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a Classroom Teacher in the English Curriculum.
