Aldar Education is on the lookout for an outstanding Teacher of English to join the Middle and Senior School at Mamoura British Academy in Abu Dhabi for the academic year 2026-2027.

Key Responsibilities

Delivering engaging lessons that inspire students to reach their fullest potential is a core aspect of this position.

Specific duties encompass:

- Collaborating effectively within a team environment
- Communicating clearly and effectively with all stakeholders
- Building positive relationships with every individual in the school community
- Partnering with colleagues to create engaging lessons in line with the curriculum
- Maintaining professional communication and adaptability with team members
- Engaging with parents to support the well-being and academic progress of all students
- Working alongside curriculum support staff (when necessary) to enhance student growth
- Acting as a form tutor and addressing the pastoral needs of students.

A. Teaching and Learning

- Demonstrating a strong understanding of the British curriculum
- Organizing classroom resources and designing displays that foster a vibrant learning environment
- Planning, preparing, and delivering lessons tailored to a variety of student abilities
- Inspiring students through enthusiastic and innovative teaching methods
- Conducting assessments in accordance with the school's assessment policy
- Reflecting on classroom practices, monitoring student progress, and adjusting planning and resources as needed
- Ensuring the incorporation of the Mamoura British Academy Teacher and Learner DNA language and values throughout the curriculum.

B. Assessment and Data

- Taking responsibility for the academic progress of the classes taught
- Meeting the requirements for assessing and documenting student development using the school's designated assessment system
- Leveraging assessment data to inform future planning, teaching strategies, and interventions
- Providing constructive feedback to parents and guardians regarding student progress during Parent Teacher Conferences and other meetings.

C. Behavior Management and Responsibilities

- Adhering to the school's Behaviour Policy
- Effectively managing classroom dynamics with tailored approaches that inspire, motivate, and challenge students
- Building strong relationships with students, exercising appropriate authority, and taking decisive action when necessary within the Behaviour Policy
- Serving as a positive role model by consistently embodying the attitudes, values, and behaviors expected of students
- Upholding high standards of behavior, fostering self-discipline and independence among all learners
- Integrating the Mamoura Values DNA language and attitudes throughout the curriculum
- Performing assigned duties in accordance with the school's policy.

D. Broader Professional Responsibilities

- Collaborating within departmental teams to assist with planning, assessment, resources, and special events
- Helping to organize and participate in school events, outings, and activities, including those that may occur on weekends or evenings
- Communicating effectively with parents/guardians regarding students' achievements and well-being using school systems like CPOMS as appropriate
- Contributing positively to the overall school life and ethos
- Leading a weekly ECA each term.

Minimum Qualifications:

- A Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field, along with a PGCE or equivalent.

Minimum Experience:

- A minimum of 2 years of teaching experience following the English National Curriculum.

Job-Specific Knowledge & Skills:

- An exemplary teacher with a proven track record across diverse age groups
- Experience in multiple International Schools is preferred
- Familiarity with the UK National Curriculum
- Strong interpersonal skills

Compensation

£30,000 - £45,000+ (Regional Equivalent)
