Key Responsibilities:

  • Organizing classroom resources and displays to create an engaging and positive learning atmosphere.
  • Planning, preparing, and delivering lessons that cater to the varied needs of all students in the classroom.
  • Monitoring and assessing students in line with the school’s assessment standards.
  • Reflecting on teaching practices, lesson delivery, and student progress while making necessary adjustments to the environment, planning, and curriculum.
  • Ensuring that the values and attitudes of Noya British School’s Teacher and Learner DNA are reflected throughout the curriculum.
  • Taking responsibility for the academic growth of the class.
  • Acting as a positive role model, consistently demonstrating the attitudes, values, and behaviors expected from students.
  • Upholding high standards of behavior, promoting self-discipline and independence among all learners.
  • Performing assigned duties in accordance with the school's policy framework.
  • Collaborating within a curriculum action group, contributing to planning, assessment, resources, and relevant events associated with the team.
  • Supporting and participating in school events, outings, and activities, which may occur during weekends or evenings.
  • Effectively communicating with parents and caregivers about student achievements and well-being, utilizing school systems/processes like CPOMS as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant subject along with a PGCE or an equivalent teaching qualification.

Minimum Experience:

  • At least 1-2 years of teaching experience.

Specific Knowledge & Skills Required:

  • Experience working with students who speak English as a second language.
  • Active and consistent involvement in extracurricular activities.
  • Respect for all members of the school community, regardless of role, gender, age, or cultural background.
  • A proactive and solution-focused attitude towards professional responsibilities.
  • A clean enhanced Disclosure and Barring Services check or police clearance.
