About This Role

Aldar Academies is thrilled to announce a vacancy for a remarkable Teacher - Primary who will also take on the role of Head of Year at Mamoura British Academy in Abu Dhabi, commencing in August 2026.

Mamoura British Academy operates under a British curriculum, welcoming students of all genders until Year 8 and transitioning to an all-girls format from Year 9 onward. The academy is located in a contemporary building at the center of Abu Dhabi. B. Leadership:

  • Advocate for the pastoral care and well-being of students by following established systems and procedures.
  • Provide effective line management for a team of teachers and teaching assistants, ensuring compliance with UAE Professional Teacher Standards.
  • Engage in the school's Monitoring, Evaluating, and Reporting processes to maintain high standards and expectations.
  • Participate in the Professional Development cycle of the school by sharing best practices with colleagues.
  • Actively take part in the tailored Middle Leader training program provided by the school.

C. Teaching and Learning:

  • Capable of teaching all aspects of the Primary English National Curriculum.
  • Organize the classroom and learning resources, creating displays that encourage a positive learning atmosphere and highlight the unique aspects of Mamoura British Academy in this regard.
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons that accommodate the diverse abilities within the class.
  • Provide support and interventions for students with EAL or additional learning needs.
  • Engage and inspire students with dynamic and creative lesson presentations.
  • Document student work and learning in line with the Mamoura British Academy Marking and Feedback policy.
  • Reflect on lessons and student progress, modifying planning and curriculum to improve learning outcomes.
  • Collaborate with specialists such as speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, and educational psychologists as needed.
  • Ensure that the Mamoura British Academy Teacher and Learner DNA language and attributes are woven throughout the curriculum.
  • Contribute to the enhancement of teaching and learning across the school by sharing effective practices and engaging in CPD and T&L initiatives.
  • Demonstrate the effective use of technology through innovative lesson delivery and ongoing provision.

D. Assessment and Data:

  • Assume responsibility for the attainment and progress of a class, ensuring students surpass expected benchmarks.
  • Meet assessment and recording requirements for student development using Learning Ladders.
  • Utilize assessment data to inform teaching and learning strategies.
