The Role
The ideal candidate will instruct Science across various middle school grade levels, providing captivating lessons that are in accordance with the American curriculum framework while aiding students in enhancing their confidence and proficiency in mathematics.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver captivating Science lessons aligned with the American curriculum
- Assist students in honing inquiry, problem-solving, and analytical skills
- Implement student-centered teaching methods that promote exploration and scientific reasoning
- Incorporate technology and digital resources to enrich science education
- Evaluate and track student progress through both formative and summative assessments
- Foster a classroom environment where students feel supported, challenged, and confident in their scientific abilities
- Collaborate with peers to enhance curriculum and instructional methods
- Engage in the broader school community through extracurricular initiatives and outreach activities
Qualifications and Experience
Candidates should possess:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Science or a related discipline
- A recognized teaching qualification (PGCE, B.Ed., or equivalent)
- Experience teaching Middle School Science
- Familiarity with or training in an American curriculum framework
- Strong skills in classroom management and communication
- Experience in an international school context is preferred but not mandatory.
